When we started the iftar we observed that there were a limited number of items, which wasn't a big problem as there was good Arabic food ( lamb ouzi, kofta, Arabic sweets etc). However, we were surprised when only a little while into the iftar, they began to swap out the dishes. There was a group of people that came in so I'm not sure if it was specifically made for them or if they had transitioned to dinner service but they began swapping out the dishes for cheaper and bland food and even lesser number of items. They removed the lamb ouzi, replaced kofta (with potato), to simple roast potato, removed the snacks and sweets. They even replaced the fish dish to a blander version. There were around 4 - 5 main dishes like fish, pasta, roast potato and maybe a couple of other dishes which all tasted bland. Thankfully we got to taste the Arabic dishes before they were gone but this was unexpected and unusual in an iftar buffet.
