Ronn Teitelbaum opened the first Johnny Rockets restaurant in 1986 on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles. He strived to create a place where diners could tuck into great food and experience the atmosphere of classic Americana. The restaurant's name is a tribute to this concept, referring to Johnny Appleseed, the star of a classic American fable, and a classic car, Oldsmobile’s beefy Rocket 88. Over the years Johnny Rockets has grown into an international restaurant chain with numerous locations in 26 countries around the world. There are over ten Johnny Rockets restaurants in the UAE, all featuring tabletop jukeboxes and authentic décor, designed to recreate the ambience of a 50s diner. The restaurants offer slap-up meals, with menus that include juicy hamburgers, classic sandwiches, hand-dipped shakes and malts.
