Taking a safari, like using night-vision binoculars to prove that bats use tiny flashlights when prowling at night, reveals how seedy animals truly behave in nature. Immerse yourself in the wilds of Kenya with today's Getaway from Lush Escapes: get a 5-day tour of the African gem, Kenya, for AED 5500 instead of AED 8500.
Hie off to this exotic part of the globe and get a first-hand feel of the way of life in this equatorial nation. Get immersed in the cultures and peoples represented, that are as diverse as the geography of the place.

Day 1 - From Nairobi to Masai Mara Game Reserve
After disembarking at Nairobi Airport, Groupies will be greeted by friendly Lush Escapes representative before getting charmed by the cosmopolitan, lively, interesting and pleasantly landscaped country capital that they have just stepped in. Currently the largest city after Cairo and Johannesburg, Nairobi has a central business district that is handily compact and is a great place to tune into modern urban African life.
Nairobi (green city in the sun) is an attractive and growing city that stands on the edge of the Athi Plains and the gentle slopes of Limuru that rise in the Aberdares Mountains. It is an important business and social center with high-rise buildings and international hotels and a good selection of restaurants serving Indian, Chinese, French, Italian and other cuisine. Sprinkled all over the city are public parks and gardens full of shrubs and flowers and the main routes out of town are tree-lined avenues.
The Masai Mara Game Reserve is world-renowned reserve and stretches over 1510 sq km of open rolling grasslands. It is home to Africa's famous "big five" (lion, elephant, rhino, leopard and buffalo). The ultimate attraction is undoubtedly the annual wildebeest migration in July and August, when millions of these ungainly beasts move north from the Serengeti.
In the afternoon, enjoy an enthralling game-viewing drive. Spotting lions, cheetahs and other spectacular predators will surely become the highlight of the day. This evening, enjoy a sumptuous dinner at the lodge. Enjoy overnight accommodation at Mara Keekorok or Oluawaru Luxury Camp

Day 2 - Masai Mara Game Reserve
After breakfast, proceed on a morning game-viewing drive to search for the myriad species of game that make this reserve their home. If you are lucky, you can witness a kill in action!
After a sumptuous lunch at your lodge, proceed for another exciting game drive, where you can expect to see the famous 'Big 5'.
Later in the evening, there will be a grand Gala Dinner at the lodge, leading to an overnight stay at Mara Keekorok or Oluawaru Luxury Camp

Day 3 - Masai Mara Game Reserve to Lake Naivasha
From the top of the escarpment of the Great Rift Valley, Lake Naivasha sparkles in the sun thousands of feet below. Nearby is Lake Naivasha Country Club which became famous in the 1930s as a staging post for Imperial Airways' flying boat service from Durban to London. The Old Colonial architecture is solid and comfortable with accommodation in rooms and cottage set in 12 hectares of green lawns shaded by mature acacias and spreading fever trees. The guest rooms are elegant and cool. The residents' lounge has large bay windows. The bar is cosy and adjoins an immaculately equipped snooker room. The country club will be the venue for dinner as well as an overnight stay with meals.

Day 4 - Lake Naivasha to Nairobi
Upon arrival back in Nairobi, guests will check in at Eka Hotel which is only a few minutes' walk from the Kenyatta International Conference Centre. This large, well-equipped hotel is a convenient base for business travel or a good stopover if you are on safari. The evening will be spent at guests' leisure. Guests will stay overnight at Eka Hotel.

Day 5 – Departure
On the last of the safari, Groupies will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to catch their flight back home and regale envious relatives and friends with exciting safari tales.
