Full Day Dhow Cruise:
Enjoy the Fjords of Musandam from 9am until 4pm. Cruise into the Straits of Hormuz and discover different villages such as:
- Qanaha - a small fishing village with about five to six families living. Catch a glimpse of old fishing boats called “batil.”
- Maqlab - a mountain village made up of ten houses. This area covers the shortest distance to the east coast with the next fjord Habalayn
- Telegraph Island - in 1864, the British built a telegraph station on the island and they laid underwater cable from India to Basra in Iraq to get telegraph connection between England and India. The island was manned for only a short period of time, and is one of the best places for swimming and snorkeling
- Seebi Island - located at the end of the fjord and another ideal place for swimming and snorkeling
Half-Day Dhow Cruise with City Tour:
- From 9am, the tour will start and proceed to the Khasab Fort (the fort was built in the 17th century by Portuguese seeking control over regional maritime trade. A Portuguese garrison occupied the site until 1644), Sultan Qabous Mosque, Iranian Souq, Government Area , Khasab Souq and more
- Groupies will enjoy a light meal while on the dhow; soft drinks (juice, Omani tea and coffee) and fresh fruits will also be served
